Rebecca M. Jankowski, M. D.

Rebecca Jankowski is a General Surgeon. She joined PCA in December 2010 after working at King's daughters Clinic in Temple, Texas.

She was a practicing pharmacist for 10 years prior to attending medical school. Her medical degree (as well as undergraduate and pharmacy degrees) is from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Her internship and residency in General Surgery were completed at the University of New Mexico Hospital.

She is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is a current member of the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Women Surgeons and a former member of the Association of Surgical Educators.

Dr. Jankowski made a presentation at the Sand Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium in December 2008 and has researched and presented a Cost Analysis of Paravertebral Block in Breast Surgery. She developed a "passport" for surgical clerkship and produced a knot tying and suturing video for surgical clerkship. She has served on Operating Room Working Group Committee, Crew Resource Management Steering Committee, Hard-wired Safety Tools Committee, and Executive Operating Room Steering Committee.

She is married and has 2 grown children. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and her 5 dogs.
